Glyphs (2013-14)

Drawing attention to the overlooked and discarded these soft sculptures are fabricated from a range of fabric remnants and are literally traced from the remains of things left behind; spills, repair seams, small pieces of flattened rubbish etc. gleaned from the city’s streets and transposed in a variety of scales.

My intent is to explore and expand the subliminal language of random forms and glyphs to reveal their inherent poetry and beauty whilst articulating ideas around form/transformation, 2D/3D active looking and ways of seeing.
